Dr. Tehmina Ali is the Director of Pathology at Chesapeake Urology, a United Urology Group affiliate. She provides diagnostic expertise and clinical analysis on specimens for Chesapeake Urology, which features one of the most state-of-the-art, comprehensive laboratories in the nation. Dr. Ali is one of the country’s leading uropathologists with extensive fellowship training in genitourinary, anatomic and surgical pathology, transplant immunology, and cytopathology.
Dr. Ali previously was Director of Immunochemistry and Director of Pathology and Biorepository Shared Service, Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She has published extensively and completed authoring a professional atlas on Urinary Cytopathology with Histopathologic and Cystoscopic correlation. She received her M.B.B.S. degree from Rawalpindi Medical College, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and completed several fellowships: The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Post-doctoral fellowship in Endocrine Surgery, Transplant Immunology and Cytopathology; University of Maryland Medical Systems, Residency in Anatomic Pathology; University of Maryland Medical Systems, Fellowship in Surgical Pathology; and The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Fellowship in Genitourinary Pathology. Dr. Ali is certified by the American Board of Pathology.
