Bernard M. Gburek, M.D.

President, Arizona Urology Specialists

Dr. Gburek serves as President of Arizona Urology Specialists, a United Urology Group affiliate. Dr. Gburek joined Arizona Urology Specialists in 2009 and has been a physician leader for many years. In practice, he specializes in prostate disease, urologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of urologic diseases, as well as robotic prostatic surgery. He performed the first robotic prostatectomy in the state of Arizona in 2002. He also specializes in the treatment of BPH/enlarged prostate including the minimally invasive UroLift System and has been recognized as a UroLift Center of Excellence.

Prior to joining Arizona Urology Specialists, Dr. Gburek was in practice at Scottsdale Center for Urology. He was featured in numerous newspapers, magazines, and television interviews for his groundbreaking work in robotic surgery, being the first in AZ to perform a robotic prostatectomy. Dr. Gburek has been named a Top Doctor by Phoenix magazine in 2010, 2012-2016, and 2019.

Dr. Gburek received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, and completed his urology residency and surgical internship at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, May Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota.
